The story

HLN-artikel (15 oktober 2026): Sim Vanlangenhove verkoopt Simpools aan Brecht Van Durme

The story begins with a family that had been looking for the perfect pool experience for years but could not find it. Modern pools start at 50,000 euros. Modern and affordable swimming seemed an impossible combination. Combining quality above-ground attachment pools with a connecting terrace provided a solution to this problem and thus led to the creation of simpools in August 2020! It didn’t take long for the concept to win awards.

A New Chapter
Six years later, Simpools has grown into a company that supplies and installs complete swimming pools with wooden decks. In October 2026, founder Sim Vanlangenhove passed the torch to Brecht Van Durme, former winner of “Peking Express” and founder of the travel agency Beyond Borders. The ambition remains the same: a modern and affordable swimming pool for as many people as possible.
